2022.7.15《今日の聖書》ルカの福音書
わたしが来たのは、正しい人を招くためではなく、罪人を招いて悔い改めさせるためです。
「なぜあなたがたは、取税人たちや罪人たちと一緒に食べたり飲んだりするのですか。」というパリサイ人の質問に対するイエス様の答えがこの一節でした。パイサイ人は、他人に対しては罪を指摘していましたが、自分の罪に関しては無頓着だったのです。自覚がなかったのです。自分が罪人であるということを自覚している人に、イエス様は罪の赦しの宣言をしていったのです。
今日も、主の赦しに心を留めることができますように・・・。

"I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."
This passage was Jesus' answer to the Pharisees' question, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" The Pharisees pointed out sins of other people, but they were careless and unaware of their sins. Jesus declared forgiveness of sins to those who knew they were sinners.
May you keep in mind the forgiveness of the Lord today as well.
