2022.10.28《今日の聖書》マタイの福音書
『自分のいのちを救おうと思う者はそれを失い、わたしのためにいのちを失う者はそれを見出すのです。』
「死中に活あり」と言って、敵軍の真ん中に突っ込んでいったのは、上杉謙信でしたが、イエス様は、それよりも1500年前ぐらいに、「死んで活き、捨てて得る」と言われたのです。前者は、自分が生きるための方策でしたが、イエス様は、自分が十字架に架かり、死ぬことによって、多くの魂を救ったのです。
今日も、イエス様の十字架に心を寄せることができますように・・・。

「"For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.」
Kenshin Uesugi said, "In death there is life." He attacked into the middle of the enemy army. About 1,500 years earlier, Jesus said, "Die then live, loose it then find it. The former was a way for him to live, but Jesus saved many souls by dying on the cross.
Today, may we also be mindful of the cross of Jesus.
