　『その日はユダヤ人の備え日であり、その墓が近かったので、彼らはそこにイエスを納めた。』

　（ヨハ19:42）【新改訳2017】

　イエス様が十字架上で死なれたのが、金曜日の午後3時頃でした。金曜日の日没から安息日が始まります。「彼ら」は、アリマタヤのヨセフとニコデモでした。彼らは、イエス様をゴルゴダの丘の西側の新しい墓に手厚く葬ったのです。「死」という絶望から、やがて「復活」という希望が顕れるのです。

　今日も、主の希望を見出すことができますように・・・。

「So there they laid Jesus, because of the Jews' Preparation Day, for the tomb was nearby.」

【Joh 19:42／NKJV】

　Jesus died on the cross at about 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon. The Sabbath begins at sundown on Friday. The "they" were Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. They buried Jesus in a new tomb on the west side of the hill of Golgotha. From the despair of death comes the hope of resurrection.

　May we find the hope of the Lord today....
