『暴虐を行う者を羨むな。
　彼の道をどれ一つ選ぶな。』

【箴言　3:31】

　時として、「あの人のように愛の人になりたい」と他人を羨むことがあります。それは、自分を高めようとする思いからです。でも、ここでは、「暴虐を行う者を羨むな」とあります。悪を羨む気持ちとは、どんなものでしょう。それは、自分自身が悪に染まっても構わないという自暴自棄の気持ちではないでしょうか。神を見上げ、信じ、従う道が祝福された道なのです。「詩1:3 その人は流れのほとりに植えられた木。時が来ると実を結びその葉は枯れずそのなすことはすべて栄える。」

　今日も、主を見上げて過ごすことができますように・・・。　

「Do not envy the oppressor,
　And choose none of his ways;」

【Proverbs 3:31】

　At times, we envy others, saying, "I want to be a person of love like that person" This is out of a desire to improve ourselves. But here it says, "Do not envy the oppressor" What is it like to envy evil? Is it not the feeling of desperation that one is willing to be tainted with evil oneself? The blessed path is the path of looking up to God, believing, and obeying. (Psalm 1:3)"He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper"
