『拠り所が壊されたら正しい者に何ができるだろうか。』
拠り所！財産、名誉、権力、地位、健康、知識、才能等々。どれもこれも永久に続くものではありません。この時、作者ダビデは逃げに逃げていました。山にある洞窟から洞窟へ、谷から谷へと。頼れるものは何もありませんでした。でも、神様のみ言葉を握り、神様に祈り、神様に従ったのです。苦しい状況ではありましたが、やがて、状況が一変し、王様へとなっていくのです。
今日も、主のみ言葉と共に過ごせますように・・・。

「If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?」
Foundations! None of these things - wealth, honor, power, position, health, knowledge, talent, etc. - last forever. The author, David, was at this time fleeing from cave to cave and valley to valley in the mountains. He had nothing to rely on. But he hung on to God's word, prayed to God, and obeyed God. It was a difficult situation, but eventually things changed and he became a king.
May we spend time with the Word of the Lord today as well.
