2022.5.16《今日の聖書》ヨブ記
「神は、私が滅びの穴に下らないように、私のたましいを贖い出してくださった。私のいのちは光を見ることができる」と。
ヨブ記は、全てを失ったヨブと三人の友人、それにエリフという若者が登場して、論争を繰り返します。論争を繰り返していたのは、ヨブと三人の友人たちで、32章で初めて、突然、エリフが登場するのです。彼は、最初からいたのですが、黙って聞くだけで発言しませんでした。でも、怒りに燃えて発言し始めるのです。病気が悔い改めの機会となること、また、新たな神への信仰へと、導くことを示唆するのです。
今日も、主の御前で従順になれますように・・・。

He will redeem his soul from going down to the Pit, And his life shall see the light.
In the book of Job, the controversy is repeated with the appearance of Job who lost everything, three friends, and a young man named Elihu. It was Job and his three friends who were in dispute, and for the first time in Chapter 32, Elihu suddenly appeared. He was there from the beginning, but just listened silently and didn't speak. But he said with anger. He suggested that illness would be an opportunity for repentance and lead to a new faith in God.
May we be obedient in the presence of the Lord today as well.
