『ベツレヘム・エフラテよ、あなたはユダの氏族の中で、あまりにも小さい。だが、あなたからわたしのためにイスラエルを治める者が出る。その出現は昔から、永遠の昔から定まっている。』

　メリークリスマス！イエス様は、神様なのに、人となってこの世にお生まれになりました。私たちと同じ肉体を持って、私たちと同じ環境の中で、私たちと同じ感情を味わい、そして、私たちを救おうとして、身代わりに十字架に架かったのです。信じる私たちが今も平安の中で過ごせるのは、その犠牲的な愛ゆえなのです。

　クリスマスにただただ感謝です。

Merry Christmas! Jesus was born into the world as a man, even though He is God. He had the same body as us, was in the same environment as us, experienced the same emotions as us, and then, in an attempt to save us, He hung on the cross as a substitute. It is because of that sacrificial love that we who believe can still live in peace.

We are thankful for this Christmas.
