2024.7.8《今日の聖書》箴言

『愚かな者が良識もないのに、
　知恵を買おうとして、手に代金を持っている。
　これはどうしたことか。』

【箴言　17:16】

　この箇所の解釈をある本では、このように書いていました。「当時のイスラエルに見られた、有名な先生のもとに弟子になろうとして志願者が押しかけてきた様子」現代でも似たり寄ったりの現象は起きます。お金の力で何かを得ようとすることは、その時点で間違っているのです。家は買えても幸福は買えません。ベッドは買えても睡眠は買えません。ましてや神の愛は、イエス様を信じることによってのみ手に入れることができるのです。

　今日も、主の愛の下で過せますように・・・。　

「Why is there in the hand of a fool the purchase price of wisdom,
　Since he has no heart for it?」

【Proverbs 17:16】

　One book interprets this passage in this way: "The situation was similar to that seen in Israel at that time, where applicants came to a famous teacher to become his disciples." The same kind of phenomenon can be seen today. It is wrong to try to get something with the power of money. You can buy a house, but you cannot buy happiness. You can buy a bed, but you cannot buy sleep. And God's love can only be obtained by believing in Jesus.
