『悪しき者のたましいは悪事に憧れ、
その目に隣人へのあわれみはない。』

【箴言　21:10】

イエス様が話された「良きサマリヤ人のたとえ」を思い出します。エルサレムからエリコまでの街道は、当時「血の街道」と言われ、強盗が多く出没していました。一人の旅人が強盗に襲われ、血だらけで倒れていました。そこへ通りかかった祭司やレビ人は知らん顔して通り過ぎていきました。次に通りかったサマリヤ人は哀れに思い、介抱してやりました。神に仕える祭司やレビ人の心とユダヤ人からのけ者にされていたサマリヤ人の心、隣人へのあわれみを示したのは、サマリヤ人の方だったのです。

　今日も、隣人へ思いを馳せることができますように・・・。

「The soul of the wicked desires evil;
His neighbor finds no favor in his eyes.」

【Proverbs 21:10】　　

　I am reminded of the parable of the Good Samaritan spoken by Jesus. The road from Jerusalem to Jericho was known as the “bloody road” at that time, and was frequented by robbers. A traveler was attacked by robbers and lay on the ground covered in blood. The priests and Levites who passed by him passed him by with an indifferent look on their faces. The next Samaritan who passed by felt sorry for him and took care of him. It was the Samaritan who showed compassion for his neighbor, the heart of the priest and Levite who served God and the heart of the Samaritan who was being ostracized by the Jews.
