『口論の始まりは水が吹き出すようなもの。
　争い事が起こらないうちにやめよ。』

【箴言　17:14】

　堤防の一か所から水がちょろちょろと流れ出しています。しかし、それは堤防を決壊する源となるのです。口論のきっかけは、ささいなものでした。でも、それがやがては破滅へとつながっていくのです。神に対する思いも最初は軽いものかもしれません。「私は、罪なんて犯していないし、今のところ、神は必要ないです」でも、水はすでに吹き出しているのです。それを止めるのは、イエス様の十字架なのです。

　今日も、十字架の愛の中で過ごされますように・・・。　

「The beginning of strife is like releasing water;
　Therefore stop contention before a quarrel starts.」

【Proverbs 17:14】

　A little bit of water is flowing out of one of the levees. However, it is the source that breaks the dike. The argument was a petty one. But it eventually leads to destruction. Our thoughts about God may start out as a light thing. But the water is already spewing out. It is the cross of Jesus that stops it.
