あなたがたがキリストのために受けた恵みは、キリストを信じることだけでなく、キリストのために苦しむことでもあるのです。
ご利益宗教だと、たくさんの祝福、バラ色の人生、楽しきことばかりを謳いますが、ここでは、苦しみもあるのだというのです。ほとんどの人は、苦しむことは嫌がります。しかし、イエス様を信じたあとの恵みとして与えられる苦しみは、私たちの人格の成長に大いに寄与することとなるのです。振り返れば、やはり、恵みなのです。
今日も、主の恵みに感謝できますように・・・。

For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
The religion for benefits claims many blessings, a rosy life, and all kinds of fun things, but here we are told that there is also suffering. Most people do not like to suffer. The suffering that comes as a blessing after believing in Jesus contributes greatly to the growth of our character. In retrospect, it is still grace.
May we give thanks to the Lord for His grace today.
