『穏やかな心は、からだのいのち。
　ねたみは骨をむしばむ。』

【箴言　14:30】

　「ねたみ」は、別の訳では、「激しい思い」、「興奮」と書かれてあります。「穏やかな心の人」は、落ち着いて、感情に左右されず、良い判断をします。でも、「激しい心の人」は、怒ったり、感情に流されたりして、正常な判断ができないことがあります。物事を任せるには、やはり、「心の穏やかな人」に任せたくなることでしょう。穏やかな心を造り上げる要因として考えられるのは、愛・喜び・平安、これらは神から流れてくるものなのです。

　今日も、穏やかに過ごすことができますように・・・。

「A sound heart is life to the body,
　But envy is rottenness to the bones.」

【Proverbs 14:30】

　Another translation of the word "envy" reads "intense thoughts" or "excitement." A person with a gentle heart is calm, unaffected by emotions, and makes good decisions. However, a "person with an intense heart" may get angry or be carried away by emotions, making it difficult to make good decisions. To entrust things to a person, you will still want to entrust them to a person with a calm heart. Possible factors that build a peaceful mind are love, joy, and peace, which flow from God.
