『それは　頭に注がれた貴い油のようだ。
　それは　ひげに　アロンのひげに流れて
　衣の端にまで流れ滴る。』

【詩篇　133:2】

　「それ」は、信仰者の麗しい交わりという神の祝福の事です。香油は、古代オリエントでは、様々な機会に使用されていたようです。例えば、来客への歓迎、祭司や王の任職、一般の身だしなみ等々で使われていたようです。そして、祭司のひげに流れて衣の端にまで流れ滴ると書かれてあります。祭司は、ひげを切らなかったので、祭司の衣の襟元にある二つの石をも包んだことでしょう。そこには、12部族の名前が刻まれているのです。

　今日も、神の祝福に与れるように・・・。　

「It is like the precious oil upon the head,
　Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron,
　Running down on the edge of his garments.」

【Psalms 133:2】

　"It" refers to the beautiful fellowship of believers, which is a blessing from God. Perfumed oil seems to have been used on various occasions in the ancient Orient. For example, it seems to have been used for welcoming guests, ordaining priests and kings, and for general grooming. And it is written that Running down on the beard of priest, Running down on the edge of his garments. Since the priest did not cut his beard, he probably wrapped it around the two stones at the collar of his robe. The names of the 12 tribes are engraved on it.
