『【主】が家を建てるのでなければ
　建てる者の働きはむなしい。
　【主】が町を守るのでなければ
　守る者の見張りはむなしい。』

【詩篇　127:1】

　「家」や「町」を「家族」や「家庭」に置き換えて考えると身近になると思います。一生懸命に物事に取り組むのは良い事です。その動機や行動が間違っていない限り。しかし、正しい動機や行動で取り組んだとしても、創造主なる神様抜きでは虚しいと言うのです。神様に与えられた聖い動機や愛の行動で労していくなら、大きな祝福が待っているのです。

　今日も、主の愛の中で過ごされますように・・・。　
　

「Unless the Lord builds the house,
　They labor in vain who build it;
　Unless the Lord guards the city,
　The watchman stays awake in vain. 」

【Psalms 127:1】　　

　I think it becomes familiar when you replace "house" and "city" with "family" and "home." It is good to work hard at things. As long as your motives and actions are not wrong. However, even if we work with the right motives and actions, they are empty without God the Creator. If we labor with God-given holy motives and actions of love, great blessings await us.
