I have just finished reading the seventh volume of the 15-volume “The Story of the Roman People,” which I have been gradually rereading for the past two years.
It is a book about the period of Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, and Nero, which can be said to be the interval between the period when Caesar pioneered imperial Rome and Augustus laid its solid foundations and the subsequent period of the Five Wise Emperors.
Acabo de terminar de leer el séptimo volumen de los 15 volúmenes de « LA HISTORIA DEL PUEBLO ROMANO», que llevo releyendo poco a poco desde hace dos años.
Es un libro sobre el periodo de Tiberio, Calígula, Claudio y Nerón, que puede decirse que es el intervalo entre el periodo en que César fue el pionero de la Roma imperial y Augusto sentó sus sólidas bases y el posterior periodo de los Cinco Emperadores Sabios.
