Ichito had a day off today, with no tennis practice or games.

He seemed to be able to study in a planned and enjoyable way while making time to play games and watch videos.

From the studies we do together every day, we also had some very meaningful dialogues that developed into conversations on a variety of topics.

I was especially happy when he verbalized in his own words how he thought what he had experienced since he was a small child while traveling around a lot of places and meeting many people from Japan and foreign countries, and what he had cultivated through the earnest efforts of father and son in this process, had come to life in him.

We talked about many things while cooking dinner and watching a video about the Byakkotai of the Boshin War together. He also told me what he felt while reading a novel by Osamu Dazai, which he has been reading at school recently.

I felt that he is really growing up and becoming more and more reliable.

Ichito tuvo hoy un día libre, sin entrenamientos ni partidos de tenis.

Parecía que podía estudiar de forma planificada y amena mientras sacaba tiempo para jugar y ver vídeos.

A partir de los estudios que hacemos juntos todos los días, también tuvimos algunos diálogos muy significativos que se convirtieron en conversaciones sobre diversos temas.

Me alegré especialmente cuando verbalizó con sus propias palabras cómo pensaba que lo que había experimentado desde pequeño viajando por muchos lugares y conociendo a mucha gente de Japón y otros países, y lo que había cultivado a través del esfuerzo sincero de padre e hijo en este proceso, había cobrado vida en él.

Hablamos de muchas cosas mientras preparábamos la cena y veíamos juntos un vídeo sobre el Byakkotai de la Guerra Boshin. También me contó lo que sentía mientras leía una novela de Osamu Dazai, que lleva tiempo leyendo en el colegio.

Sentí que realmente está creciendo y que cada vez es más fiable.
