「ＮＨＫ基礎英語３」一年間チャレンジ122日目英作文”Mom’s apple yogurt cake”

今日は英作文に挑戦します。

昨日りんごを買った時に母のりんごケーキを思い出したので、それについて書いてみました。

Mom’s apple yogurt cake

When I was in high school, my mom used to bake “apple yogurt cake” often.
My hometown Nagano prefecture is famous for apples.
During autumn, we can get fresh and juicy apples easily.
So, my mom used to cook something with apples.

Mom’s apple yogurt cake was easy to make, and the taste was light, moist, soft and gentle.
My mom let me take it with lunch box to school, and I shared it with my friends.
My friends were always excited with the cake, so I was really proud of her.

Recently I wanted to bake it, so I asked her the recipe.
But she couldn’t explain it, because she always doesn’t measure the ingredients when she cooks.
So, I googled it and finally came to find it!
If you want to bake it, give it a try!

Ingredients
2 apples (I like Fuji)
2 eggs
200 ml plain yogurt
80 ml olive oil
250 g flour (or 200 g flour + 50 g almond flour)
125 g cane sugar (or regular sugar)
2 tsp baking powder

Instructions
Preheat oven at 380 F. (about 200C)
In a bowl mix the eggs, yogurt, and olive oil.
In another bowl mix the flour, the baking powder, and sugar. Then add the liquid mix from the other bowl and mix just enough to blend the flour.
Peel and core the apples, and chop into chunks about 1/2-inch across. Add them to the batter and mix gently.
Pour the batter into a buttered round cake pan.
Bake for about 30 to 35 min depending on your oven or until the tip of a knife comes out clean when inserted.
Let the cake cool on a rack before removing from the cake pan.

今日の英作文に載せたレシピはまだ試していませんが、母のケーキに似ているかも？と思い紹介させていただきました。

昨日スーパーで買ったりんごは ”JAZZりんご” という種類の小さなりんごで、酸味がありシャキシャキしていてサラダやお菓子に向いていそうなので、近いうちに母のケーキを試すときに使いたいと思います。

りんごのサラダ（りんご、サニーレタス、スプラウト、ミニトマト、赤玉ねぎのラぺ、紫キャベツ＆キャロットラぺ、大豆）、パン（ ロブションのクルミパン）バナナヨーグルト（ギリシャヨーグルト無糖）紅茶（ マリアージュフレール Wedding Imperial）

今日のサラダのりんごが ”JAZZりんご” です。皮つきで食べたら少し硬く感じたので、次回からは生で食べる時は剥いてみようと思います。1袋に5個ほど入っていたので、コンポートにしたり豚肉と一緒に焼いたりと色々試したいと思っています。
