海外ルーツの高校生 進学のヒント#5 [定時制→私立大学/家族滞在]

定時制高校から専門学校に入学したJ.Rさんの進路体験を紹介します！

指定校推薦とは
推薦入学の方法の一つです。大学・短大・専門学校などが、指定した教育機関に対し推薦枠をくれます。指定校では進学を希望する生徒に対して選抜を行い、合否を判定がされます。入学初日から3年間にわたり、日々の出欠状況、授業成績、部活動や課外活動全てが指定校推薦の枠がもらえるために関わります。
3年生になって担任の先生に推薦を申し出し、担任の先生から職員会議等で話し合いにかけられ、そこを通過した生徒が校長先生からの推薦を受けられる、という流れになります。
学費の工面（受験料・入学金・大学の学費）
受験費、入学費と学費は姉と自分のバイト代で半分ずつ払いました。
今後の学費についてはまだわからないけど、奨学金も検討しています。
進路を決めるまでにしたこと
進学は前々から決めていて、専門学校よりも大学の方がいろんな学びができると思ったから大学に行きたいと思っていました。国士舘大学は先生と友達から紹介されたことがきっかけで知りました。国士館大学は英語と日本語で授業が受けられたりするのがいいなと思いました。
国士館大学以外に指定校の枠に合った大学も検討しました。国士館落ちたら滑り止めで受けようと思ってたけど、無事に受かったのでよかったです。
ネパールはアジアに含まれるし、アジア学部があったから国士舘大学になじみを感じて、ここにきめました。
進路を決めてから準備したこと
指定校推薦だったので、面接と小論文の２つがありました。面接は担任の先生と面接練習してOK貰えるまで続けて、その次は学年主任と進路担当の先生と校長先生と面接練習をしました。先生によって質問がいつも違うから大変だったけど、やっていくにつれて慣れていきました。
小論文は毎週水曜日、日本語指導が必要な生徒が勉強する授業があってそこで小論文の練習をしていました。担任の先生が国語の先生だったので、月曜日までに2個ぐらい小論文を書いて提出し、水曜日の授業でフィードバックをもらっていました。本番の試験では60分で記事を読んで小論文を書くという内容で、漢字で読んだり書いたり、とても難しかったです。
大学が決まったときはすごく嬉しかったです。担任の先生に一番に連絡をしました。担任の先生や現代文の先生にとてもお世話になり、大学を受けた後にも書類手続きを先生方に教えてもらいました。
日本語習得について
来日当時：日本語が全くできない状態
高校入学時：入学前に1年、日本語教室に通いN4レベル
高校卒業時：N3～N2レベルまで習得
高校入学前に、多文化共生センター東京で日本語を勉強しました。高校に入ってからは、取り出しの日本語の授業を積極的に活用しました。また、ルーツ関係なく友達をたくさんつくっておしゃべりしたり、先生にもたくさん話しかけました。何かわからないことがあった時に、「これがわからないんだけど、教えてくれない？」と言えば、みんな優しく教えてくれたし、友達になれました。また、挨拶をする、というのも相手に覚えてもらう上でとても大切だと思います。
あとは、アルバイトをすることも日本語力を伸ばすことに役立ちました。覚えなきゃいけないこともたくさんあるし、生活する上で必要な単語を勉強できます。私の意見としては、スーパーやレストラン、コンビニで、きくことだけでなく話すこともバランスよくできる仕事がおすすめです。
今の生活とこれからについて
大学が決まってからは、大学の宿題があるのでそれに取り組んでいます。いくつかビデオを視聴しないといけないので、それをやっています。
大学の宿題
入学前に大学側から宿題が出たり、クラス分けテストなどを行うことがあります。自分が志望する大学が宿題やクラス分けテストがあるかどうか気になる人はオープンキャンパスや大学の資料でチェックしましょう！
今後はオンライン授業だったら引っ越さないけど、対面授業だったら引っ越す予定です。他の大学に進学予定の友達とシェアハウスをしようと思っています。何かあったら心配なので友達が近くにいると心強いです。
平日は大学に集中して、土日はアルバイトをする予定です。

受験の前から日本語（漢字）とかの勉強はしておくべきだと思います。あとは、わからないことはすぐに聞く、わからないままにしないことが大事だと思っています。

In this article, I'd like to share the career experience of J.R., who entered a vocational school from a regular high school!

Designated school recommendation/around November
What is a designated school recommendation?
This is one of the methods of admission through school recommendation. Universities, colleges, and vocational schools give recommendations to designated educational institutions (high schools). The designated school selects students who wish to go on to higher education, and determines whether they will pass or fail. Following factors are considered in receiving the recommendation: school attendance from the first day of school to the third year, daily class attendance, class performance and grades, club activities, and extracurricular activities.
In the third year, students are asked to submit a request for recommendation to their homeroom teacher, then the homeroom teacher will discuss at the teacher's staff meeting, and students who pass the meeting will be recommended by the principal.
Working out school expenses (entrance exams, entrance fees, and university tuition)
My elder sister and I each paid for half of the entrance exams, entrance fees and tuition with our part-time jobs. I'm not certain how I will fund my future tuition yet, but I am considering scholarships.
What I did before deciding on a career path
I had decided to go on to higher education for a long time, and I wanted to go to a university because I thought I could learn more things at a university than at a vocational school. Kokushikan University was introduced to me by a teacher and a friend, who recommended it. I thought Kokushikan University was good because I could take classes in English and Japanese.
In addition to Kokushikan University, I also looked at other universities. I thought I would take it as a safety school if I failed Kokushikan, but I am glad that I was accepted to Kokushikan University. Nepal is included in Asia, and I was familiar with Kokushikan University because it had an Asian Studies Department, so I decided to come here.
What I prepared after deciding on a career path
Since I was recommended by a designated school, I had to do two things: an interview and an essay. For the interview, I practiced with my homeroom teacher until I got the OK, and then I practiced with the head teacher in charge of a grade, the teacher in charge of career guidance, and the principal. It was hard because the questions were always different from teacher to teacher, but I got used to it as I went along.
For essays, there was an extra Japanese Language class for students who require remedial classes every Wednesday, and we practiced essays there. My homeroom teacher was a Japanese teacher, so I wrote about two essays and submitted them by Monday, and received feedback in class on Wednesday. In the actual exam, I had 60 minutes to read an article and write an essay, and it was difficult because it was all in kanji.
I was really happy when I was admitted to the University! I told about it to my homeroom teacher immediately. My homeroom teacher and modern literature teacher helped me a lot - they helped me with the paperwork after I got accepted to the university as well.
About learning Japanese
Upon arrival to Japan: No knowledge of Japanese
Upon entering high school: Attended Japanese language classes for one year before entering high school and acquired N4 level
Upon graduation from high school: Acquired N3 to N2 level
Before entering high school, I studied Japanese at the Multicultural Center Tokyo. After entering high school, I actively took advantage of the Japanese classes offered. I also made a lot of friends regardless of their roots, chatted with them, and talked to my teachers a lot. When I didn't understand something, I would say, "I don't understand this, can you help me?" Everyone was kind enough to teach me and we became friends. I also think that greeting people is very important to remember you.
Also, working part-time helped me to improve my Japanese. There are a lot of things you have to remember and you can learn the vocabulary you need for daily life. I would recommend working at a supermarket, restaurant, or convenience store, where you can balance your speaking as well as your listening.
About life now and future
Since I passed the college entrance exam, I have been working on my college homework. I have to watch some videos, so I am working on that.
University Homework
Before you enter a university, the university may give you homework or a placement test. If you're wondering if the university you're interested in has homework or placement tests, check the open campus or university materials!
In the future, I won't move if it's an online class, but I plan to move if it's a face-to-face class. I'm planning to share a house with a friend who is planning to go to another university. I find it reassuring to have a friend nearby, in case something happens to me.
I plan to concentrate on the university on weekdays and work part-time on weekends.
A word to the people reading this!
I think you should study Japanese (Kanji) and other things even before you take the exam. I also think it's important to ask immediately if you don't understand something, and not to leave things unanswered.

指定校推荐是...
这是保送入学的方式之一。 大学、短期大学以及大专会给学校提供一定的保送名额。这些学校会对希望进入学校接受高等教育的学生进行选拔，决定是否接受或拒绝他们。 从入学第一天开始的高中三年，每天的出勤率、班级表现、俱乐部活动和课外活动都对获得保送起到一定的作用。
一般是在高三的时候，学生向班主任申请，然后由班主任在教职工会议上讨论，只有通过其认证的学生才能由校长推荐。
费用（考试费、入学费、大学学费）
我和姐姐分别用兼职工作所存的钱支付了一半的入学费和学费。
我还不确定将来如何支付学费，也有在考虑奖学金。
在决定我的未来的时候我做了什么
我很早就决定要上大学，因为我认为在大学里可以学到比大专更多的东西。 国士馆大学是由我的老师和朋友介绍以及推荐给我的。我认为国士馆大学不错，因为可以用英语和日语上课。
除了国士馆大学之外，我还考虑过另一所大学（我忘了名字，但是这个学校比国士馆水平要低一点）。 我以为如果我没有通过国士馆，就会去报考这所学校。我很开心能被国士馆大学所录取。
在我决定了我的未来之后，我做了什么？

在我看来，最好能够在参加考试之前就学习日语（特别是汉字）。 此外，我认为重要的是，当你不明白某件事情时，就直接问，不要一直保持不懂的状态。
