古典とは…浅井先生が究極の技を盛り込んで作られた型が何故古典なのか？疑問に思った方は多いはずです。もちろん私もその一人です。


長い間、白鶴拳の型を元にして作られたと思っていた古典型は、実はそうではありませんでした。動きそのものは白鶴拳を取り入れて作られましたが、型自体は浅井先生独自のものなのです。

What is Koten（Koten is classical）? Why is the kata that Asai Sensei created by incorporating the ultimate techniques called Koten? I'm sure there are many people who have wondered. Of course, I am one of them.

For a long time, I thought that the Koten kata was based on the Hakkaku Ken kata, but in fact it was not. The movements themselves were created by incorporating Hakkaku Ken, but the kata itself is unique to Asai Sensei.
