「国際理解」の授業を学校現場でやろう！| 生徒の声をあつめました

中学校1年生を対象とした国際理解の授業が、
きのうでおわり。

さいしょから授業に興味がなかった子や
ふざけてた子たちから
びっくりするほど長い感想ををもらいました。

彼らの率直なことばをシェアします。

わたしたちは
生まれた場所や
生きてきた長さや
見た目や
価値観や
生き方に
ちがいはあるかもしれないけど

みんなおんなじ、地球人。

「BORDERLESS」

国際理解という
馴染みがない単元を

「教科」とはいえなくても
体型立てて向き合うきっかけをつくれたら

きっと世界は平和になる。

そう確信したし、
これからもわたしはこういう活動を通じて

この未曾有な出来事ばかりの世界を
少しでも良い場所に
良い未来につなげていきたいと

こころから感じました。

　８回の授業を受けて国際理解の意味とか国際理解のこととか今まで全然興味がなかったけど、国際理解をするためには（じぶんの）当たり前をはずして、他の国に興味を持ったりして2030年までの9年間を生きたいと思いました。2030年以降も！

　ぼくがこの授業を通して思ったことは、世界の同級生はみんないとこだとわかりました。2030年まであと9年です。ぼくが1人でやることはかんたんです。でも、ぼくがやることで他の人たちも共感する人たちがいるかもしれないので、じぶんで積極的にやっていきたいです。

　もともと自分は国際理解のことをSDGsだけだと思っていました。
　けど、８回の国際理解の授業を通して、SDGsだけではなく世界のために働いていて、自分もその一員になれたらいいと思った。

　国際理解について学んで、大事なことをたくさんの方から聞いて、ホントに共通しているのは、じぶんと相手の間のことだと思いました。
　私は海外についてあまり興味を持ってはいなかったけど、この８回の授業をして、少しだけでも興味をもつことができて、役に立ったなと思いました。

　合計８回の授業で国際理解について学んで、国際理解は相手のことを知ったり、自分のことを知ったり、未来のことについて考えて、じぶんはこの授業をするまで興味はなかったけど、８回の授業を受けて、ちょっと興味をもちました。

　国際理解はすべてのひとが平等で、みんながわかりあうことだと思いました。
　最初の授業のときは国際理解について知らなかったけど、今日で知ることができました。

　国際理解についてたくさん学べたことがたくさんあって、知らないことが知れたり、くわしく調べることができました。
　もし自分が外国にいったとしたら、相手とのコミュニケーションがとれるようにがんばりたいなーって思ったし、相手の言葉も覚えて行きたいなーって思いました。

　自分達が授業でした「国際理解」は、どんな答えも正解で、未来のじぶんのためになることが分かった。自分も日本人だけではなく、いろんな世界のDNAをもっていたら、その人たちのためになることをしたい。

　今日は最後の国際理解の授業をして、国際理解を通して、国と国とのつながりを良くするのはとても遠い未来と思っていた。けど、今日みた動画で色んな外国人がいて、みんな100%母国と思っていたけど、本当はいろんな国のDNAがあり、他国とのつながりを良くするのは遠い未来ではなく近い未来と思った。
　そして他国と交流するときに大切だと思ったのは、自分や母国にとっての当たり前（常識）をはずすことだと思った。外国の人がもし日本にきたら親切に日本のことを紹介したいです。この授業を行ってよかったです。

　最初は何とも思わず授業をやっていたけど、今日の授業をきいて思ったことは、これから先いい未来・悪い未来、どっちがくるかなんて予想はできても、事実を言える人なんて１人もいないし、どうがんばっても悪い未来が１度はきてしまうと思います。
　今日まで国際理解の授業をして「（2030年までの）９年間の砂時計」、どんな未来もじぶんを大切にして、少しでも楽しみたいです。
　また、よく考えてみれば、知らないうちにすれちがったり、今となりにいる人とも、みんなどこかではつながっているし、それに壁をつくってしまい、「この人は他国の人だ」とかんちがいせずに、フレンドリーに接したいです。動画をみて、他国の人との親近感がわきました。

What I’ve dreamed about is to be an teacher who does a lecture on not a language, but a broader mindset as a global citizen.

I’ve got an opportunity to make it happen,
I’ve struggled with how to make it,
I’ve tried to do my best to lead it,
And yesterday was the last class.

Each time I’ve got feedbacks from 32 students.

And at this last class,
I’ve got many longest messes who were not so active at the classroom.

Feeling overwhelmed.

Believe that formulating a module of “International Understanding” at school would contribute to make the world peace as a small step.

What I felt through these 8 classes was that all my classmates in the world could be metaphorically my "cousins” no matter which nationality each of us belong to.
The year 2030 is only 9 years away. It is easy for me to take action by myself. But I would like to take actions actively with a hope to find people who could share my feelings as a team.

I’ve understood that the concept of "international understanding" is based on the idea which all people around the world is equal and can understand each other.
In the first class, I didn't know anything about "international understanding" but today I am getting to understand it.

Originally, I thought that "international understanding" was deeply related to the SDGs. However, through the 8 classes on “international understanding”, I realized that it is broader than the framework of SDGs, and I hope to become a member who can understand the concept and work on it.

In the process of learning about international understanding, I’ve gained a lot of important learnings from many people, and I came to realize that what we have in common is about concerning the perceptions between ourselves and others. I was not very interested in going abroad for education or a career, but through these classes, I became a little more interested. It was a meaningful experience.

In a total of the eight classes, I could learn not only the concept of “international understanding” but others and myself. This process made me think about the future.

I realized that any answer to the definition of "international understanding" that we had in our class today was correct and would be beneficial for me in the future.
I want to do something that will be helpful for not only Japanese people, but also the people around the world as a person who has the DNA from various parts of the world.

Today we had our last class on international understanding, and what I thought was that it would be a very distant future to improve the connection between countries through the concept of international understanding, but the video I saw today made me understand that there were many foreigners who initially thought that they had 100% solid DNA from their home country, but in reality, their DNA was diverse and rooting many different countries. Through the video, I now believe that improving the relationship between countries is not a distant future, but a near future.
What we need to value when we interact with people coming other countries must be to break out of the norm (common sense) for myself and my home country.
If I see non Japanese persons who come to Japan, I would like to introduce Japan to them in a kind way. I am glad that I could take this class.

We often miscommunicate with people, wether they are close to us or not. But we are somehow connected in a broad sense - even the person sitting next to us.
I will try to be friendly without unconsciously creating a mental barriers and thinking that  "oh, this person is a foreigner".
I now feel closer to the people who come from other countries and have different backgrounds.

I’d never been interested in the meaning of “international understanding” nor its learnings. However, Now I made my mind to live the next nine years (until 2030) with a positive and active mindset toward other countries, and without taking things for granted in my mind. And of course, 2030 onwards too!

There were many things that I learned a lot about international understanding. I was able to learn about things I didn't know, and to do a research in detail.
If I go abroad, I’d like to do my best to communicate with people from abroad. I also want to learn their language.
