英語日記 2023/07/10(MON) 子供の頃の好きな食べ物の話をしよう

I did shopping the Seven-Eleven for the first time in a long time. I was looking for my favorite biscuit sandwich, but it wasn't there. I will search other convenience stores and supermarkets.

In previous diaries, you write an example of talking about food. I thought it was interesting themes, such as the food that your mother used to make and the food that you liked when you were a child. If you were to simply ask me, "What is your favorite food?" I might answer sushi, a traditional Japanese food. But, I would answer casually if I remember my childhood.

I like hamburger restaurants. You may know Mos Burger. Hamburger is not Japanese food, but Mos Burger is Japanese hamburger shop, so it's interesting. The restaurant have custom menus for Japan such as rice burgers.

日本語による所感

前半は英会話でフリートークをするとき、どんな話題が良かろうかというお話。アメリカ人先生は食べ物の話が良いんじゃないかと教えてくれて、「母親が子供の頃にどんな料理をよく作ってくれたか？」という例を挙げてくれました。確かに食べ物ってみんな食べるし、地域差もあっていい話題ですよね。特に子供の頃を絡めるのが、なんだかその人の飾らない姿が見えてきそうで面白い気がしました。「大人の私」で答えると、どうしても日本っぽい物を言わなきゃって肩ひじ張っちゃいますもん、私なら。

後半はモスバーガーのお話。モスのライスバーガーってもうおにぎりじゃんって思うんですが、美味いからよし。次回もモスの話は続きそうです。
