えべっさんが済んだ。佳き一年になることを願って 　　Ebisu Festival is done. I hope it will be a good year

昨日、雨上がりに西宮戎神社に残り福をいただきに参拝した。
年賀初詣に続く参拝は毎年の恒例になっている。

Yesterday, after the rain, I went to Nishinomiya Shrine to get some good fortune. The worship following the New Year's first visit is an annual event.

毎年思うことではあるが、年賀の初詣も身動きがとれないほど参拝者で賑わうが、やはり西宮戎神社はえびす様が祀られている神社なので、9、10、11日の3日間の人出は半端ない。さらに、正月詣とは活気が違う。
とくに商売されている人たちにとってはウィズコロナの世の中で商売を繁盛させるのは至難の業。自社努力もさることながら、やはり “神頼み” が精神的な支柱になっているようだ。その思いがこの残り福を求め、吉兆ものの露店にも行列ができていた。

Every year, I think that the first visit to the New Year is so crowded with worshipers that I can't move, but Nishinomiya Ebisu Shrine is a shrine where Ebisu Festival is enshrined, so the number of people for three days on the 9th, 10th, and 11th is It's odd. Furthermore, the liveliness is different from the New Year's visit.
Especially for those who are in business, it is extremely difficult to make business prosper in the world of With Corona. In addition to the efforts of the company, "request to God" seems to be a spiritual pillar. That thought sought this remaining fortune, and there was a line at the stalls of the auspicious things.

また、入口門を入ったところには「水引飾り」と「笹や吉兆ものを入れる煤竹」の露店が目を惹いた。水引飾りは多様な形状のものが所せましに並んでいた。そして、お隣では煤竹露店の青竹細工の職人さんが煤竹に名前を刻む電動彫刻刀を休めることなく動かしていた。

Also, at the entrance to the entrance gate, there were stalls of "mizuhiki decoration" and "soot bamboo for bamboo and auspicious things". Mizuhiki decorations were lined up in various shapes. And next door, a craftsman of blue bamboo work at a soot bamboo stall was moving the electric chisel that engraves the name on soot bamboo without rest.

さらに、えべっさんといえば「笹」である。福娘さんたちが笹を求める人たち一人ひとりに笑顔で手渡すのがやはりえべっさんの華。それを見ているだけでも幸せをいだける。

Furthermore, Ebisu Festival is "sasa(bamboo)". It is Ebisu's flower that Fukumusume hands to each person who seeks bamboo grass with a smile. Just looking at it makes me happy.

本殿に両側には「逆さ門松」が立てられてあった。この逆さ門松の風習はどの社寺でも伝わっているのかはわからないが、西宮戎神社ではえべっさんの恒例の飾り物になっている。
門松の横の看板に由来が書かれてあった。それを要約すると、えびす様が神馬に乗って市中を巡行されるのに、松の葉先があたっては大変、ということで枝を逆さに付け替え、神様をお迎えしたということのようである。

"Upside-down Kadomatsu" were erected on both sides of the main shrine. I don't know if this upside-down Kadomatsu custom is transmitted to any shrine or temple, but it is an annual decoration of Ebisu Fesyival at Nishinomiya Ebisu Shrine. The origin was written on the signboard next to Kadomatsu.
To summarize it, it seems that Ebisu-god was patrolling the city on a Shinba(horse for god), but it was difficult for the tip of the pine needles to hit, so someone replaced the branches upside down and welcomed God. ..

参拝を終え、出口門を出たところに、修行僧と思われる、托鉢笠をかぶった僧侶が念仏を唱えていた。喜捨させていただいたときに、念仏がやさしく耳元にとどいた。
年賀初詣、えべっさん詣が済んだ。2022年が佳き年になることを願って。

After worshiping, at the exit gate, a monk wearing a Dhutanga hat, who seems to be a monk, was chanting a Buddhist priest. When I was happy to dismiss it, the Nembutsu gently arrived at my ear. New Year's first visit, Ebisu's visit is over. I hope 2022 will be a good year.
