禅寺に梅、春の訪れを告げるかのように Plums to Zen temple, as if to announce the arrival of spring

梅の花がちらほら咲き始めている。
梅の種類は数多くあるといわれているが、大きく分けると「紅梅」と「白梅」に分類される。
色は紅梅、香は白梅といわれている。
紅梅は、赤く美しい花を咲かせるといことから花言葉が「優美」。一方、白梅は白く清々しさを感じさせることから「気品」と付けられている。

Plum blossoms are beginning to bloom here and there.
It is said that there are many types of plums, but they can be broadly classified into "red plums" and "white plums."
The color is said to be red plum and the incense is said to be white plum.
The flower language of red plum is "grace" because it is said to bloom beautiful red flowers.
On the other hand, white plums are called "dignity" because they are white and refreshing.

寺社では、よく紅梅と白梅が対で花を咲かせている光景をよく見かける。
仏画曼陀羅アート教室の一つである佛日禅寺の境内にも両梅が花を咲かせ始めていた。蕾も咲かせた花にも力強さが感じられる。春の訪れを告げるかのように。

At temples and shrines, we often see red and white plums blooming in pairs.
Both plums have begun to bloom in the precincts of Butsunichizen-ji Temple, which is one of the Buddhist painting mandala art classes. You can feel the strength of the buds and the flowers that have bloomed. As if to announce the arrival of spring.
