【オーストラリアワーホリ】セカンドジョブをゲットしました！【Working holiday in Australia】 I got a second job!

ゴールドコーストは40度近い危険な暑さが毎日のように続いています。
The Gold Coast, my living city has been dangerously hot, close to 40 degrees Celsius every day.

日本食と日本の冬が恋しい。でも今年は日本の冬も異常気象でかなり暖かいみたいですね。
I miss Japanese food and Japanese winter. But this year seems to be quite warm because of the crazy weather.

さて～！タイトルにあるとおり、つい最近セカンドジョブをゲットしたので、まとめていきたいと思います。（2回クビになっているので、実質4つ目の仕事ですｗ）
Well, As you can see in the title, I just recently got a second job, and I would like to write about it. (I got fired from some jobs twice, so this is my fourth-time job. lol)

わたしがセカンドジョブを探し始めた理由 The reason why I started looking for a second job

11月中旬からカフェで働いており、コーヒー作りやオーダー受け、料理提供、洗い場など、オールラウンダーとしての仕事はわりと問題なくこなせるようになってきました。
I have been working at a cafe since mid-November and have been able to handle all-around tasks such as making coffee, taking orders, serving food, and washing dishes without any problems.

ただ最近お店が暇なのとスタッフの人数が足りていることもあり、1日3～4時間で退勤してしまうことが結構続き、このままだと「時間を無駄にしているな」と感じるようになりました。
However, recently, I have been leaving work after 3-4 hours a day bacause it is not busy so much and they have enough staff to work, and I feel that I am wasting my time if I continue like this.

また、最近仕事も生活面も慣れてきて「何か新しいことがしたい」と思うようになったのも理由のひとつです。
Another reason is that I have recently got used to working and living here, and I want to do something new.

わたしがセカンドジョブをゲットした方法：Jora Local How I got my second job: Jora Local

これまで就活をしてきた自分の感触として、「よくいわれる直接レジュメ配りよりオンラインアプライのほうがはるかに返答率が高い」ということ。
My own experience in job hunting is that the response rate to online applications is much higher than handing out resumes directly.

But it depends on the timing and place, so I can't say it's completely true.  Actually, my friends who live in other places were able to get jobs quickly by handing out resumes in person.

直接のレジュメ配りは50件ほど行って、2～3件だけだったので、このサイトがどれだけ優秀かがわかります。
I have only received 2 or 3 responses out of the 50 resumes that I have handed out directly, so you can see how good this site is.

今後の仕事に対する目標と目標達成のためのマインドセット My goals for future work and mindset for achieving those goals

新年に今年の抱負を「健康」「仕事」「お金」「家庭」「恋愛」「その他」で立てました。
At New Year's, I made my resolutions for this year in "health" "work" "money" "family" "love" and "other".

「仕事」について、2024年が終わる時点での目標は「バリスタとしておしゃれなカフェで働いていること」「事務作業の仕事など、フルリモートでできる仕事をしていること」です。
For "work" my goals for the end of 2024 are to work as a barista in a fancy cafe and to have a job that I can do fully remotely, such as an office job.

2つ目は、やっぱり何か頭を使うことをしたいので（笑）
About the second one, I still want to do something that requires me to use my brain. lol

目標を立てる際には「～したい」ではなくて、「○○年○○月時点でわたしはこうなっている」と完了形で考えるのが効果的みたいですね。
When setting goals, it is effective to think in perfect tense, "I have already done something at that time(exact date)" rather than "I want to be something".

実際わたしも何か「こうなりたい」「こうしたい」という目標ができたら、先にnoteに下書きの記事を書くようにしています。まるでもう叶ったかのように（笑）
Actually, when I have a goal that I want to achieve, I try to write a draft of the article in note(this blog) first. As if it has already come true. lol

たとえば「セカンドジョブをゲットしました」「ゲットできた方法」などを先に仮で書いておく。（できるだけ詳細に！）その記事を公開したいから、後はそれが実現できるようにいろんな手を使って頑張るようになる。
For example, "I got a second job," "How I got it," etc. I write tentatively first. (as detailed as possible!) I want to release that article, so the rest of the time I get to try my best to make it happen, using all sorts of means.

この方法も結構いいと思っているので、ぜひ試してみてください(^^)/
