このオープニング曲で、主人公ハミルトンの生い立ちが総キャストによって順次紹介され、同時に全てのキャスト（キング・ジョージ３世以外）が舞台に登場して順次紹介されます。

アメリカが激動し、欧州フランスが激動し、幾多の困難や矛盾や犠牲を払いながら今日に続く諸制度が形成される時代の物語。極東の日本もいずれ飲み込まれることになる歴史の大潮流。カリブ海の嵐の前夜、迎える翌朝のようなオープニングです。
