Good evening. To study English, I would like to translate a book I read into English. Today, I would like to introduce "Momo" by Michael Ende, which was recommended to me when I was in college. It is a children's book loved all over the world and the theme of the book is "time".

In an old theater in a city, there lived a girl named Momo.

Momo had two best friends, an old man, and a young man. Momo also had a mysterious power to free the people of the town from their worries.

One day, men dressed in gray appear in the town where Momo lives, calling themselves the "Time Savings Bank.

The gray men encourage the people of the town to save time, saying, "If you save time and deposit it in the savings bank, your life span will double.

Soon, the people of the town think only of saving time and saving their purpose in life, and they become frustrated because they have no room in their hearts. And they have even forgotten how to enjoy life.
The gray men were "time thieves" who stole time from everyone in town.

Momo notices the unusual behavior of the changing adults and complains that the men in gray are time thieves. But they do not listen.

And the gray men of the Time Savings Bank capture her as a dangerous child.

Momo is chased out of town, but then she encounters a mysterious turtle and meets Hora, the controller of time.

She then teaches them how to restore time for everyone.

Hola also knew how to stop time.

When Hola gave Momo a single flower, a crystal of time, time stopped and only Momo could move through the time that had stopped.

Momo found the vault of everyone's time that the gray men had stolen and freed the stolen time.

The people of the city were able to reclaim their time and peace returned to the city.
