【歌詞・和訳⑤】RE:I AM (English ver.) / SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Aimer

　みなさんこんにちは、Hiruと申します。記事をご覧いただきありがとうございます。今回も、大大大ファンである澤野弘之、SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]の楽曲に関する和訳をやっていきたいと思います。元々は６月６日に予定されていたライブの鬱屈とした気持ちをぶつけるために始めたnoteなのですが、８月の有料配信ライブのチケットをやっとこさ昨日(7/28)に買いました(笑)。
忘れていたわけではないんですけどね、、当日は楽しみたいと思います...!!当日はとっとと仕事を終わらせてLIVEを満喫したいと思います。

◆楽曲『RE: I AM』について
さて、第５回は『RE:I AM (English ver.)』に挑戦していきたいと思います。『RE:I AM』はAimerさんが歌う『機動戦士ガンダムUC Episode 6』の主題歌なのですが、このEnglish ver.は、後に発売された『Unchild』のアルバムに収録されています。第３回で和訳に挑戦した『Next 2 U』も同じアルバムに入っています。この『RE:I AM』もAimerさんの曲の中でも、澤野さんの曲の中でも好きな曲の1つです。Aimerさんのライブにも何回か行ったことがあるのですが、『RE:I AM』は何度もライブでも聴いています。English ver.はnZkのライブでは歌っているのでしょうか…？nZkのライブには残念ながら1度も行ったことがないので、分かりません。。このコロナが落ち着いたらBEST OF VOCAL WORKSに続いて、nZk[00X]のライブにも行きたいと思います。
『RE: I AM』は「Aimer」のアナグラムになっています。それもあってAimerさんがライブの時に「このRE: I AMという曲は、私にとっても大事な曲の1つです」と言っていたことが非常に印象深く残っています。それでは和訳に入りましょう！

土砂降りの雨のように泣き続けるこの空のように

I can sense the vibe between you and me
君と響き合っているのを感じる

１番サビの終わりまでです。歌詞から受けるイメージは日本語版のそれとは違ったものがありますね。ただ、サビの部分については「サイレン」日本語詩と共通して出てきています。
日本語・英語詩で共通して「サイレン」＝「（土砂降りの）雨音」＝「涙」ですね。この「サイレン」を通じて「もう２度と会えない（聞こえない）君」を思っているというような印象を受けました。
でも難しいですね、、「Forever but it's come to own me」の翻訳はどこで前文と切れるのかパッと判断できず、上記のような訳となっていますがどうなんでしょうか。「You're the only one forever」で文章が切れると思うのですが、歌は「You're the only one」で切れているなので、うーん…という感じです。どうなんでしょうか…？では続けて、２番にいきたいと思います。

２番のサビまでです。最初の部分、ちょっと歌詞が変わりましたね。
「I can't ignore this matter」→「Can I ignore this situation?」の疑問形に変わっています。ここでの「matter」や「situation」は「We have to kill each other so long」な状況だと思われるのですが、「無視できない！」から「無視しても良いのか？」と気持ちが切り替わっています。２番だから歌詞を変えたという可能性もありますが、言いたいことは実質ほぼ一緒なんだと思います。難しいですね…。

曲終了までです。全体通して抽象的な訳となってしまいました。
「Freezing cold shutters my sorrow, and scorching sand puts it together again」は、原曲でもあったフレーズですねー！
