宇宙事業について英語で考えてみました

昨今、各国、各社共に宇宙開発の競争が行われています。これまでは宇宙飛行士だけが宇宙へ行くことができましたが、現在民間人も宇宙へ旅行することができるようになりました。有名な言葉に、宇宙はラストフロンティアであるとあります。今後の宇宙開発は、どのような影響があるか英語で考えてみました。

Is space exploration worth the costs?

I agree with the idea that space exploration is worth the costs. Nowadays, as people say that space is the last frontier, some countries or companies have competed with each other about space developments such as rockets, satellites, spacecraft, and so on. I think that these investments will pay off in the future for the following reasons.

Firstly, the Earth is surrounded by many kinds of space satellites in today's world. One of these is launched by a company called Space X. It is reported that the satellite functions as an internet connection between space and the Earth. This means that people can connect to the internet anywhere they are without cellphone towers, which will be beneficial.

Secondly, a few decades ago, people never thought they would travel to space but I saw on the news these days that some people traveled there. It is currently possible for rich people but experts say that it will be attainable for ordinary people in the near future by improving the industry.

Lastly, the news that NASA's Perseverance rover landed on Mars is still fresh in my mind. It is reported that in the year 2100, people will be living there. To be able to do so, although people will initially need to put tremendous efforts and money into it, it is a worthwhile mission to discover a world that people have never seen.

In conclusion, for all of the reasons above, I would like to say that the cost of space exploration will prove valuable.

まとめ

NASAによる火星探査機の上陸作戦は記憶に新しいですが、人類の火星移住も遠い未来ではなくってきています。現実的な出来事で言えば、Space X社が打ち上げている衛星機から地球へのインターネットアクセスは画期的です。携帯基地局が破壊されたウクライナ軍にサービスが提供されたことは最近のニュースでも報道されています。今後T-Mobile社とクルーズ会社のRoyal Caribbean社がサービス提供する予定で、これまでインターネットにアクセスすることができなかった砂漠や海で使用することができるようになります。
