卒業・終了の皆さん、おめでとうございます。
この特別な機会に、一言述べさせていただきます。

これまでに、エネルギーとその効率を学んできた皆さんへ、

仕事の生産に重要なスキルを少し紹介します。

ただし、エネルギーのほかに注意力の管理も欠かせません。

具体的には、 

１）時間管理ではなくエネルギー管理に集中する 

２）予定を少なくすると生産性が上がる：予期せぬ課題に対応する余裕を残す

３）不完全主義を受け入れる："十分良い"を目指す

また、プロセスについても学びましたね。 

どんな成果や成功の陰にも「プロセス」があることを理解することが重要です。 

あるスキルの習得の速さは、「練習の量」よりも「練習方法（HOW）」が大きく関係していることがわかってきています。 

皆さんは、これまでの学生時代に「練習方法」にどれだけのエネルギーを注いできたのでしょうか？　

今後もプロセスの重要性を意識していただきたいです。 

最近のニューヨークタイムズの記事で、言語学の権威チョムスキーは、「生成AIは思考も倫理も知性も道徳も持たないので、人工知能と呼ぶのをやめて「盗作ソフトウェア」と呼ぶべきだ」と言っています。

未来は益々見通しの立たないものですが、必ずうまくいく、という強い信念より、うまく行かない、という前提で過ごすことでストレスが軽減され、イキイキとなる日々を送れるかもしれません。

Closing Remarks for the Graduation Commemoration Party as the Head of a Division

Congratulations on your graduation and successful completion! On this special occasion, I’d like to share a few words.

To all of you who have studied energy and its efficiency, I want to introduce some essential skills for productivity in your work. However, beyond energy, attention management is equally crucial. Specifically:

1. Focus on Energy Management, Not Just Time Management: Concentrate on managing your energy effectively rather than merely managing time.

2. Fewer Commitments Lead to Higher Productivity: Reducing your commitments allows you to handle unexpected tasks more efficiently.

3. Embrace Imperfection: Strive for “good enough” rather than perfection.

Additionally, we’ve learned about processes. It’s essential to understand that behind every achievement or success lies a process. The speed of skill acquisition depends more on the “how” (practice methods) than the quantity of practice.

Reflect on how much energy you’ve invested in refining your practice methods during your student years. Going forward, remain conscious of the importance of processes.

In a recent New York Times article, MIT linguistics authority Noam Chomsky stated, “Generative AI lacks thought, ethics, intelligence, and morality. Instead of calling it artificial intelligence, we should refer to it as ‘plagiarism software’.”

The future remains uncertain, but perhaps embracing the assumption that things won’t always go smoothly can reduce stress and lead to vibrant, fulfilling days.
