万生集（生きる目的・理由・コツ）58 ～Manseishu／collection of meaning and knack of life～

「創造活動」とは、人間生活全般である。「労働」ということは、この人間の全生活のことなのである。人びとの生きがいとは、生活の全領域、全過程においてあり、喜びがあるのである。生活を犠牲にした「労働」など、なんの喜びでもないということを、はっきりと心にとどめておく必要がある。われわれが、生きがいとして設定しようとしていることは、われわれの全存在であり、全生活なのである。何かをするために他を犠牲にするという生き方は、人間の本然たる生き方ではない。

'Creative activity' is the whole human life. 'Work' is this whole life of human. The worth living of people is at the whole field and process and has joy. We should need to keep in mind clearly that the 'work' etc. sacrificed life are no joy. What we try to set as the worth living is our whole existence and life. The way of life sacrificed the others to do something is not natural way of life.
