TOMODACHI x MetLife日米女性支援プログラム

日本全国にいる大学生と社会人の女性がペアを組み、10ヵ月間のワークショップとメンタリングを通して、大学生のうちにキャリアや人生の目的や意味を考え、どう実現していくかを支援し合うプログラムにメンターとして参加させていただく事となりました。札幌、東京、名古屋、大阪、福岡などから、メンター、メンティー(メンターを受ける側の事)はそれぞれ50名が参加しています。

女性のエンパワメントを考える時、管理職などのマネジメントの役職に就く事や、起業したりする事ばかりに焦点が当てられますが、私が思う自己実現の形はいかようにでも存在して良いと思っています。稼ぐ額や報酬の有無に関わらず、成功や幸せのカタチはもっと多様に社会に認知されるべきです。

その人がどんな道に進もうと「選択肢の幅を持つ事」そして「自分の意志で決める」という事で、後から後悔する人が少しでも減ったらなと。実現したいものを持つ人たちが「自分にもできるんだ」という感覚を持てるように伴走していきます🏃‍♀️

Also, thank you all gentlemen who always support and encourage us. Just not getting supported all the time, I also would like to be there to give it back sometime. Being independent is the way to give all care and support for somebody you love.

▼ What is @tomodachi_initiative?
“The TOMODACHI Initiative is a public-private partnership between the U.S.-Japan Council and the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, with support from the Government of Japan. Born out of support for Japan’s recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, TOMODACHI invests in the next generation of Japanese and American leaders through educational and cultural exchanges, as well as leadership programs. The initiative seeks to foster a “TOMODACHI Generation” of young American and Japanese leaders who are committed to and engaged in strengthening U.S.-Japan relations, appreciate each other’s countries and cultures, and possess the global skills and mindsets needed to contribute to and thrive in a more cooperative, prosperous, and secure world.”
