June 18, 2022: Japanese Language School, Technical Intern Trainees, Comfortable School Life （日本語学校、技能実習生、快適な学校生活）

     There is a Japanese language school just a little away from my apartment. It accepts technical intern trainees from Vietnam. They live in it all together to learn Japanese. They seem to enjoy their school life.
     They keep regular hours. They get up around 5:00 am and go for a walk together. After that, they take breakfast and start learning Japanese. When I walk around the school, I hear them practise Japanese in a loud voice. I have never seen them cause any trouble inside or outside the school. When I walk by them, they always greet me.
     The school must be one of the successful Japanese schools. I appreciate its efforts to make it comfortable for the trainees and its neighbours.

　ボクのマンションの目と鼻の先に日本語学校があります。この学校は、ベトナムからの技能実習生を受け入れています。共同生活をしながら日本語を学んでいます。皆さん、楽しそうで、規則正しい生活をしています。朝の5時頃に起きて、全員でウオーキングをしています。その後、朝食を取って、日本語の勉強を始めます。学校の前を歩くと、日本語の発音練習をする大きな声が聞こえてきます。皆さん、トラブルもなく仲良く暮らしているようです。また、実習生と学校の前ですれ違うと挨拶をしてくれます。
　この学校は、日本語学校の成功例の一つだと思います。学校を実習生や近所の住人に快適なものにしようとする取り組みに感謝です。
