December 21, 2022: AI-Generated Images (2)（AI生成画像（2））

The TV program inspired me to try to generate images with AI. First, I had to look for an AI suitable for me. Then, I found an article by npaka-san on Note. It details a lot of AIs. Among them, I chose Memeplex. I input two words, 'Kyoto' and 'Senior', into it and selected images and Star Wars style. Then, the three images below were generated. These were made in a blink and were the ones I could not make with my skills, even if I tried to.
I am impressed that AI can make images from words. It helps me to visualise part of what is in my mind. It will be of use to organise my thoughts and ideas.
But I was reluctant to claim it was my picture or to submit it to a contest. I did not use my mind or hands. I just thought of words. But my ideas may be old-fashioned.

　この番組を見て、ボクもAIで画像を生成してみようという気になりました。そこで、まず、自分に合ってそうなAIを探すことにしました。その時に、Noteでnpakaさんの記事を見つけました。記事では、多くのAIが紹介されています。その中で、Memeplexを選びました。試しに、「京都」と「シニア」の2つの言葉を入力し、写真とスターウォーズ風を選択しました。その結果が、以下にある3枚の画像です。どの画像のあっという間に作成されました。ボクが自分の腕で作成しようとしても出来ないものばかりです。言葉を画像に変換できるのは魅力です。自身の頭の中で想像したものの一部が可視化された気分になります。また、自分の考えやアイデアを整理するのに役立ちそうです。
　でも、これを自分の絵画といったり、コンテストに出品する気にはなれませんでした。なんせ、頭をも手も使っていないのですから。ただ、言葉を考えただけですから。でも、このこの考え方が古いのかもしれません。
