August 13, 2022: WOWOW, Nordic Dramas, Subtitled Versions （WOWOW, 北欧ドラマ、字幕版）
Recently, I have been increasingly watching WOWOW. It is due to a smart TV. Since it arrived at my home, Prime Video and WOWOW have been fascinating me. I am now enthralled with overseas TV dramas on WOWOW on Demand. Above all, Nordic ones now win my heart. My favourite one is 'Follow the Money.' It is about a corporate crime that takes place in a big company. It is unpredictable and has a surprise ending. Other Nordic works always have a surprise ending, too. It is also seen with BOX 21 and Blue Eyes (Prime Video).
The only problem with WOWOW is that popular dramas are always Japanese-dubbed. I always skip them since I make it a rule to watch only subtitled ones. I want to watch them in their natural voices. A survey shows that more and more viewers watch overseas dramas with subtitles.
最近は、WOWOWを見る機会が増えました。スマートテレビを買ったお陰です。スマートレレビが来てからは、アマゾンのプライムビデオのはまり、その影響がWOWOWにも及びました。プライムビデオに飽きて、WOWOWオンデマンドで海外ドラマを観るようになりました。最近は、北欧のドラマが面白いです。中でも、デンマークのドラマ「フォロー・ザ・マネー」が面白かったです。大企業を舞台にした犯罪ドラマですが奇想天外の展開が面白いです。この作品に限らず、北欧の作品には必ずと言っていいほど、驚きの結末が待っています。以前にも紹介した「BOX21」や「Blue Eyes」（Prime Video）のエンディングも大曇天返しです。
WOWOWの海外ドラマの玉に瑕は、人気ドラマに限って吹き替えされていることです。ボクは、俳優さんの肉声を聞きたいので字幕版しかみません。ある調査によると字幕派が増えているようです。
