December 18, 2021：ノルウェー、電気自動車保有大国、ベルゲン、フィヨルド、トロール (Norway, Leading EV Owning Country, Bergen, Fjord, Trolls)
Famous for Fijord and salmon, Norway now attracts global attention since the country has the highest share of new electric vehicles.
Around twenty-five years ago, I first went to Bergen, the second-largest city in Norway and one hour away by plane from Oslo and had visited a customer in the town at least every two months for three years. It was one of the most valuable customers, and I highly appreciated their business efforts. I also enjoyed local food and spectacular fjord views from an observatory in the city.
I was also attracted by ‘trolls’, fairies of Norwegian folk tales. Their appearance is attractive to me but maybe hideous to others. I used to buy several troll dolls at an airport shop on the way home from Bergen. I still have four dolls at home. They are my guardian god.
北欧のノルウェーといえば、フィヨルドやサーモンが有名ですが、今、別のことで世界中の注目を集めています。同国では電気自動車（EV）の普及率が高いためです。
25年位前にノルウェーのベルゲンを初めて訪れました。ベルゲンはノルウェー第2の都市で、オスロから飛行機で1時間くらいのところにあります。ベルゲンには商談で、隔月で3年間通いました。ベルゲンのお客さんは大事なお客さんで、彼らの努力を高く評価していました。また、地元料理やフィヨルドを楽しむ機会もありました。
更に、「トロール」にも魅了されました。「トロール」は、ノルウェーの民話に出てくる妖精です。ボクはそのひどい容姿が気に入りましたが、他の方にはぞっとするかもしれません。商談を終えた後、空港の店でトロール人形を何度か買って帰りました。今でも、家にトロール人形が4体あります。ボクにとっての守り神です。
