August 5, 2022: My Number Card System in North America, Very Convenient, My Bitter Experience (1) （北米のマイナンバーカード、非常に便利、ボクに苦い経験（1））

I got a message from Ariel san about my article on My Number Card. She lives in North America and has a My Number Card, too. But hers is different from mine and makes her life easier. Her number card allows medical staff to access her medical records online. It is this that is what I have wanted for a long time. I hope the My Number Card system in Japan will offer the same convenience to me soon.
The other day, I made my wife have a bitter experience. It would have been unneeded with a better My Number Card system. It was about two certificates of my hip joints I wrote on in my previous articles. On my behalf, I had my wife go to a public agency’s office within one hour by train. But it refused to accept them due to an inconsistency between them and required her to have the doctor correct them. She requested that the staff call the doctor to verify the discrepancy. And she would not have to go to him. But it was rejected.

　マイナンバーカードに関する記事を投稿した際、北米に住むアリエルさんからコメントをいただきました。彼女の国でもマイナンバーカード制度が導入されいるようですが、重宝されているようです。無駄な時間や労力を使わなくて済んでいるようです。カード番号があれば、医療従事者はオンラインで病歴を知ることができるようです。これこそが、ボクが待ち望んでいたものです。日本のマイナンバーカードもこれくらい便利になればと願うばかりです。
　先日も、ボクの股関節の件で妻に大変な思いをさせてしまいました。以前にも書いた人工股関節に関する証明書に関する件です。妻がボクの代理でこの証明を電車で1時間弱のところにある公的機関に提出しに行ってくれました。ところが、そこで、2つの提出書類に齟齬があると指摘を受け、病院で修正してもらうよう言われたのです。妻は、担当者に病院に電話を掛けて確認するよう依頼したのでだめでした。
