『だれがきめるの？』is a funny book that depicts a day of mama bear and her energetic cub. It’s all the usual, with the child not wanting to go to sleep, not wanting to eat anything but ice cream and having little quarrels with mom. But every scene is so relatable and their conversation so sweet that in the end you realize these moments with your kids are the moments that are priceless.
自分の意見があること、それをしっかりと伝えられること。それはいつだって大事なこと。
それはわかっていても、10時過ぎ、朝の5時前に子供に色々と話しかけられるのは正直楽ではない。
Today's Pairはそんな状況を客観視させてくれる。
そしてそんな時間があるからこそ親子の絆が強くなり、子供たちが自分の意見を持つようになることを教えてくれる。
“Interrupting Chicken”のチキンは読み聞かせの本が楽しみでしょうがない。でも静かに聞くタイプではなく、おはなしをすることが大好き。そんなチキンはパパのおはなしをすべて中断し書き換え、終いには自分のおはなしを始めてしまう。果たしてパパは起きていられるか。
『だれがきめるの？』はママぐまさんとこぐまさんのある日常のおはなし。寝たくない。朝ごはんはアイスクリームがいい。そうごねてママぐまさんと言い合いをするシーンはどれもまるで我が家の日常そのもの。こぐまさんたちの愛らしい会話に癒されると、そんな日常のやりとりこそが子供との掛け替えのない時間だと気付かされる。
