『Do They Know It's Christmas?』は、1984年にリリースされたチャリティーシングルで、アフリカの飢饉に対する援助のために制作されました。
①なりたち:
1984年にエチオピアで発生した大飢饉のニュースを受けて、ボブ・ゲルドフ（Boomtown Ratsのリードシンガー）とミッジ・ユーロ（Ultravoxのメンバー）がこの曲を書きました。彼らは音楽業界の多くのアーティストを集め、バンドエイドという一時的なグループを結成し、この曲をレコーディングしました。

「バンドエイド」には多くの著名なアーティストが参加しました。以下はその中の一部です:
