Geoffrey Hinton told MIT Tech Review he worries how AI tools he helped create will be used.

そりゃ、心配もしますが。

Hinton said Putin "wouldn't hesitate" to use "hyper-intelligent robots" to kill Ukrainians.

それもそうですが、今のロシアには部品なく大量生産ができそうにありません。

恐ろしく、否定的ですね。AIのおかげで失業率が上がるなら、一部の会社には役に立つているとおもいますけど。

After a decade at Google, Hinton announced he was leaving the company on Monday. He told The New York Times he has regrets about his role as a pioneer of AI technology. Hinton, along with two of his graduate students at the University of Toronto, laid the foundation for AI development.

"It is hard to see how you can prevent the bad actors from using it for bad things," Hinton said.

でも、逆も然りじゃないのでしょうか?

Hinton, for his part, told the Times that he thinks it might be too late to stop the tech giants' AI race, and that careful collaboration and discussion around controlling the technology may be the only solution.
