徳島暦5年目、初。

梅雨を感じさせない徳島のここ数日の天気。洗濯物がよく乾いて嬉しいけどもう少し、お天道様には手加減して欲しいところですね。
そんな私も、あれよあれよと今年で徳島へ来て5年になり、最近は日々自転車で橋を渡って通勤していて、やっと徳島の人らしくなってきたのでは⁈と自負しております。（多くの学生さんが毎朝橋をゲキチャして通学。徳島といえば川？橋？みたいな。）
Hello, everyone.
It has been rainy season in Japan as weather forecast said, but it seems not. I don't like too much rain, and equally,I don't like too much sunshine. It's nice to do the laundry though.
Anyway, it's 5th year since I moved to Tokushima. I feel like I finally became Tokushima-jin (means locals in Tokushima), because I cycle to work through a bridge everyday. (In Tokushima, many students cycle to school so hard through a bridge every morning. I believe that's what Tokushima is.)
毎日の通勤風景- what I see every morning
振り返ってみると徳島に移ってきた当時は、なんもないところやなぁと思っていました。でもいつの間にか、ずっぷりハマっていた…
そんなこんなで徳島、なが〜くすみたい人にはとてもおすすめの町だと思います。生活の中に川があって、いつも自然の中で活動しているような居心地の良さがあります。天気がいいのでカラッとしていて、雨予報の日でも雨の降らない事が多い徳島（体感値）。私の徳島スキポイントその１です（笑）長く住まない人も徳島を味わうには、ぜひ自転車移動にチャレンジしてみてください。
Looking back, I though here was nothing special at first when I just moved into Tokushima, but somehow I am addicted to it now.
In short, It's nice place for people who want to live country side for years. You can see rivers every day and night, and you would feel confutable. There isn't rainy day that much, and dry. I really like that too.
I want everyone to ride a bike and see Tokushima. Have a try! Then you can see truly what it is like!

もっと手っ取り早く水都とくしまを堪能したい！そんな方には、市街地で楽しめる水上レジャーなんていかがでしょう。それが今回ご紹介したかった「ひょうたん島クルーズ」！ 前置きが長々となってしまいました。お恥ずかしながら私、先日5年目にして初、乗船してまいりました。
BUT for people who just want to skim the cream, how about river cruising around the city center of Tokushima, named "Hyutanjima-cruise"?
That's what I actually aim to write this article. I'm sorry for talking too much an introduction. Well, at length, I can introduce you about when I rode the popular cruise for the first time in 5 years.

ひょうたん島クルーズのすすめ-Let's cruising!
この「ひょうたん島クルーズ」ですが、運営しているのはみなさん「新町川を守る会」という団体のボランティアの方。
Hyotanjima cruising was started by member of "Shinmachi-gawa wo mamorukai", the Shinmachi river preservation society.(non-profit-organization)
中村英雄さんという一人の靴屋の店主が始めた活動でしたが、たくさんの有志が集まり今の形となりました。ひょうたん島クルーズの他にも、毎年”花ロードプロジェクト”や川サンタなどのクリスマスイベントなど、精力的に活動されています。
One of the member, Mr. Hideo Nakamura, voluntary began cleaning up the Shinmachi river, it was really dirty then. After that, people who saw and was impressed by him gathered as volunteer little by little. Thus, this group was established. Not only Hyotanjima-cruising, but they have the project of flower road and held Christmas event along the river constantly.
そして、こちら、オレンジ色で囲ったところが”ひょうたん島”です。

乗船してみて- How was cruising?
両国橋の袂の並木道をいくと、看板が見えてきます。たくさんボートも係留されているので場所はわかりやすかったです。
当日はちょうど梅雨の晴れ間で、家族で楽しんでいるお客さんが入れ替わり立ち替わりとても賑わっていました。
Walk through the Ryogoku bridge, and you can see the sign on line of trees which is on your left. There are a few boats, so you can easily find.
It was luckily sunny day, and there were so many visitors coming and going.

フカフカのソファーで快適。川の風を受けながら颯爽とひょうたん島をクルーズします。小さい橋から大きい橋までたくさん。水の都であることが実感でき、普段見れない視点からの街をみるのも新鮮でいいですね。
It was confutable with cozy couch and flesh wind from the river. Hyotanjima, it is surrounded by many bridges, and it reminds me Tokyshima is a city on water. In addition, it was excited to see a bottom of bridges.
橋の下スレスレを通過したり、街ゆく人が手を振ってくれたりとちょっとしたサプライズも楽しみの一つ。乗船していた子供たちも、橋に近づくと姿勢を低くして、手を伸ばして大はしゃぎでした。
今回は家族連れが多かったですが、散歩のついでなどにちょい乗りしてみるのも、リフレッシュできていいかもしれません。
よりディープな徳島に出会える、そんな時間になりました。
Going through under a bridge and people coming and going gave their hand shaking... The kids ridding on the boat frolicked every moment.
On that day, there were so many families, but I think single rider will possibly enjoy for refreshment. How about ride it on the way home instead of walk?
