大西つねき動画 英訳PJ - What made him decide to be a politician?

私が応援している政治家で、今回衆院選で神奈川4区から立候補される大西つねき氏の動画を英訳していくこのプロジェクト。と言っても私が勝手にやっているだけですが。

彼がどうして政治家になろうと思ったのか？そこってとても大事だと思うので、こちらの動画の該当箇所を英訳します（3分20秒から。前回のプロフィールの続きです）。

Tsuneki founded a political party, which is now called the “Fair Party”, in 2011, in which the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred. At that time, he frequently visited Ishinomaki, one of the areas devastated by the earthquake, to work as a volunteer. During his time volunteering, he found that all the problems he encountered were money related. After having barely survived such a huge disaster, people were struggling financially. They had lost everything including their houses, and the public donations and grants given by the government were not nearly enough for them to recover. From his experience working in the financial industry, he believed that money tends to go to people who are already rich. It rarely reaches those who are most in need of it. So, he came to the conclusion that in order to change this situation, the central government had to be changed. To make that happen, he decided to be a politician.
