A pound cake made by the oldest daughter

【Day 90】

After the disaster of making macaron, my oldest daughter has dedicated herself to making sweets.

Today, she made a lemon pound cake and it ended up totally great work. It didn’t taste too sweet, the buttery aroma stimulated my appetite for one more bite. The appearance of the cake is beautiful as well. It went well with T2 English Morning tea.

The cake looked so great that my wife shared it with Carmen, who is a master of sweets, and also my daughter’s macaron teacher.

My daughter has spent a hard week as she started going to a language school, so she must have got stressed out. I think making sweets is a sort of relieving stress activity for her.

I don’t want to put things in terms of gender, I think my daughter likes “girly things in spite of she looks very boyish.

She is always mistaken for a boy. Every time when she goes to apparel shops with my wife and asks the staff to try cloth,  all of them call her “him“. That’s interesting.
