外構の打ち合わせを想定しロールプレイングテキストを作ってみました。
盛りだくさんに英文と打ち合わせの秘訣を解説しています。

2．動画のスクリプト　英文

Client: Hello! I'd like to discuss the layout of the proposed building, especially regarding its entrance and surroundings.

Architect: Of course! Based on the initial design, we plan to erect the main entrance adjacent to the garden space. This would provide a sense of welcoming, while being surrounded by greenery.

Client: I like that idea. But, won't the garden block the view to the entrance from the main road?

Architect: Not entirely. We propose to install a hedge, which would subtly demarcate the boundary without entirely blocking the view. And, to further provide a sense of openness, we can cover the path with roof eaves instead of a full canopy, allowing light to filter through.

Client: That's a thoughtful approach. How about the pathway leading to the entrance?

Architect: We are considering using mirror-polished granite stone. It would reflect the surrounding greenery, making the pathway appear more integrated with the environment. For areas prone to water-logging, especially near the plants, we'll ensure proper drainage and might even incorporate gravel for added texture and functionality.

Client: Sounds splendid. Regarding parking, can we have some spaces closer to the entrance?

Architect: Absolutely. We can allocate a few spaces specifically for disabled parking right near the entrance, located under the extended roof eaves for added protection from the elements. This would be especially convenient for them.

Client: And for security? Architect: For security, we will install surveillance cameras that cover the parking spaces and other critical areas. We also recommend motion-sensor lights located under the main building overhangs to illuminate the space in a non-intrusive way.

Client: That’s comprehensive. Thank you for taking all my concerns into consideration.

Architect: Our aim is to merge functionality with aesthetics while addressing all your needs. We'll incorporate these changes and present the refined design soon.

3．動画のスクリプト　日本語訳

クライアント： こんにちは！提案されている建物のレイアウト、特にエントランスとその周辺について相談したいのですが。

建築家： もちろんです！最初の設計に基づき、メインエントランスをガーデンスペースに隣接させる予定です。そうすることで、緑に囲まれながら歓迎の意を表すことができます。

クライアント ：それはいいですね。でも、庭があると大通りからエントランスへの視界が遮られるのでは？

建築家： そうではありません。生垣を設置することで、視界を完全に遮ることなく、境界をさりげなく区切ることができます。さらに、開放感を出すために、独立した屋根ではなく、屋根の庇で道を覆い、光が差し込むようにすることもできます。

クライアント：考え抜かれたアプローチですね。エントランスへの通路はどうですか？

建築家：鏡面仕上げの御影石を使うことを考えています。鏡面仕上げの御影石を使うことで、周囲の緑を映し出し、より環境と一体化した通路に見せることができます。特に植栽の近くなど水がたまりやすい場所には、適切な水はけを確保し、テクスチャーと機能性を高めるために砂利を敷くことも考えています。

クライアント： 素晴らしいですね。駐車場については、エントランスに近い場所にいくつかスペースを設けることは可能でしょうか？

建築家： もちろんです。エントランスのすぐ近くに身障者用の駐車スペースをいくつか設けることができます。その方が特に便利でしょう。

クライアント：セキュリティは？

建築家： セキュリティについては、駐車スペースとその他の重要なエリアをカバーする監視カメラを設置します。また、人感センサー付きのライトを建物のひさしの下に設置し、邪魔にならないように空間を照らすことをお勧めします。

クライアント： 包括的ですね。私の懸念をすべて考慮していただき、ありがとうございます。

建築家： 私たちが目指しているのは、機能性と美しさを融合させながら、お客様のあらゆるニーズにお応えすることです。これらの変更を取り入れ、近日中に洗練されたデザインを発表します。
