Encounter celebrity 1

I haven't had many opportunities to meet so-called famous people. The reason for this is simply because my eyesight is poor. There is no deeper meaning to it. Due to my poor eyesight, I can't see the faces of people who are far away clearly. Even when they are nearby, I tend to be inattentive to my surroundings, often overlooking various things. That's why acquaintances often criticize me, saying, "Even if you pass by, Murakami, you don't even greet anyone." So even if I happen to encounter a famous person, I would pass by without even realizing it. However, my companion is remarkably perceptive when it comes to such things. No matter how crowded it is, she always manages to quickly spot the presence of famous people. I feel like this can only be described as an innate talent. So when we're together, she would say things like, "Oh, you just passed by Nakano Ryouko," or "Kurihara Komaki is over there," but by the time I look around and say, "Huh, where?" they would have already disappeared somewhere. In extreme cases, she would even say things like, "Yamamoto Yoko was sitting next to you at that coffee shop earlier." I wish she would quietly tell me about it at that time. Well, if you think about it, how much value is there in seeing Yamamoto Yoko's true face? That's probably the case, but I still feel like I missed out and think, "I've lost something." It's strange. From next time onwards, I would like to write about the few famous people I have encountered. By the way, Mr. Arakawa Masahiko from Shinji District, Ibaraki Prefecture, as you pointed out, the man you saw in front of Shinjuku "Bizarre" on June 5th was me. Fortunately, the woman next to me is my companion. When I read your letter, I was momentarily startled, but indeed, it was my wife.
