#17 The Sun also Shines [PART3. Spain] ep.V "Paella and Tapas and Alcohol"

 Sugita has arrived after me, so we went to eat paella. I managed to order in terrible Spanish at a restaurant near the main street, Gran Via.

I must say Japanese is a trash language in the respect of inability to express how great this paella tasted.

 Dutch friends from Spanish class asked me to go out for Spanish bars. We were speaking English all the time because our common language was English even we were three Dutches and one Japanese.

 They didn't look like hating speaking English even they can speak Dutch each other, and I heard they spoke English even though I wasn't in a conversation. It doesn't seem that speaking foreign language stress them as rumor tells.

 I thought these people know well how to walk around in Europe.

 We went to oldfashioned bar which has narrow aisle toward the back, and there're no chairs so that people use tables on walls looking like just counters. It was so crowded and since they drink standing that we were physically close.

Tapas that we had that night had ham and tortilla on bread made me want more alcohol.

So was the paella, Spanish dish is seasoned salty. It makes me thirsty little by little, and combination of this and strong sunshine makes me desire liquid. A cup of water costs unlike in Japan.

It's quite natural to feel like to drink alcohol. Adding to that, sometimes a glass of wine or beer can be the same price or cheaper than water. Yeah, I'd love to get alcohol.
