#27 The Sun also Shines [PART3. Spain] ep.XII "Peacock”

I saw a wild peacock for the second time.

 The first time was in Aranjuez, and this time in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. It shocks me when that size of birds appear suddenly. They don't ring out and stand on their own, maybe.

I found one of them in a garden of palace. Old architecture in Spain or rather in Europe is usually huge and magnificent. Its garden fascinates us with gorgeous proportion.

 I was going to Segovia, but the train delayed and that led us miss the next train to transfer. Luckily, the town we had to spend hours was Cercedilla, where I would have visited with two Czech girls for the last trip with them.

I will never forget that early morning.

We decided to walk around the town for four hours til the next train comes. It turned out that Scottish friend, Phil, had to go back to Madrid without going to Segovia to prepare for a presentation next day. 

 I headed to Segovia with Ann and her Italian friend Nico.

 We had a lunch in Cercedilla, and I tried "Morcilla". It is a black sausage and it uses blood. I had never seen it before. Altough I didn't see it even in Germany, it was actually Spanish dish. I ate it as put between slices of bread like sandwich. It didn't smell bad at all or taste iron, and it rather smelled fine spice. It tasted like mild curry contrary to its posture.

Except northern east part, Spain is very warm and it rains little here. Having jimbei at Halloween party in the end of October was not a problem.

There used to be a great ski player in this kind of country. He is a jumper from Cercedilla, and even he got a medal at the Olympics in Sapporo. I was happy to see my home city name in this small town abroad. I took a photo in front of his bronze.
