Scientists warn

because of chemicals that can leak into the food and cause problems with our hormones. 

Leonardo Trasande, 

a professor at NYU School of Medicine in New York, 

says there is no safe level of exposure to these chemicals. 

Uneven heating is another risk, 

especially with raw foods. 

Because of the harmful bacteria that can grow each time the food cools down, 

meals should only be reheated once.

科学者たちは、プラスチックで覆われた食品を電子レンジで加熱しないよう警告しています。なぜなら、化学物質が食品に漏れ出し、ホルモンに問題を引き起こす可能性があるからです。ニューヨーク大学医学部のレオナルド・トラッサンデ教授は、これらの化学物質への安全なレベルはないと言っています。
特に生ものは、加熱にムラがあることも危険です。食品が冷めるたびに有害な細菌が繁殖する可能性があるため、食事の再加熱は1回にとどめるべきでしょう。
