Purpose and Background of the U22 Plan
Q: Why is it free?
A: In Japan, about 80 million umbrellas are discarded every year, and this number is the worst in the world. By making Aikasa available free of charge to the young generation who will be responsible for the future, we hope to make sustainability a "personal matter" and work together to create a new future where no more umbrellas are thrown away!
How to register
Q: What is the process for completing the registration?
A: The process is as follows.
You will need to install the Aikasa application to use the service. If you are already using the Aikasa app, please update to the latest version to use it!
(1) Select U22 as your plan.
(2) Select your name and date of birth.
3) Enter your phone number and email address.
You will receive an authentication link to your email address.
5) Register for payment (only for those over 18 years old)
About the plan
◆For 16-17 year olds
Q: Is it okay if I am 10 years old?
A：Sorry, the minimum age is 16.
Q: Do I need to register in any way?
A: Please install the Aikasa application, select "U22 Support Plan" and register the necessary information (name, date of birth, phone number, email address). You don't need to register for payment!
Q: Can I borrow for as many days as I want?
A: Yes. A: Yes, you can rent for as many days as you want, and you can rent up to two of them at the same time!
Q: My 18th birthday is coming up, do I need to register separately?
A: If you registered for U22 when you were 16-17 years old, you will be automatically transferred to the 1-year free plan (3-day return period) from the month following your 18th birthday until you turn 19. To use this plan, you need to register for payment. (Example: 18th birthday on July 10 → 1 year free from August 1 to July 31 of the following year's 19th birthday)

If you are 18 years old or older, you will not be able to rent until you register for payment. You can choose between carrier payment, credit card payment, and LINE Pay from My Page.

If you register your Epos card for payment registration, the service will be free until the first day of the month following your 23rd birthday. After the age of 18, the return period will be 3 days in any case.
◆For 18-23 year olds
Q: Do I need to register for payment?
A: Yes, it is required. When you register for a plan, you will be prompted to enter your payment information. If you miss the 3-day return period, you will be charged the regular fee (110 yen for 24 hours) and the maximum monthly fee (220 yen).
Q: What happens if I register payment with my Epos card?
A: The service is free until the end of the month of your 23rd birthday. However, please note that if you do not return the card within 3 days, you will be charged the regular rate (110 yen for 24 hours)! The maximum charge for the month is 220 yen.
Q: What happens if I register a payment OTHER than Epos card?
A: The U22 plan is free of charge for one year after registration (3-day return period). Please note that if you miss the 3-day return period, you will be charged the regular rate (110 yen for 24 hours)! The maximum charge for the month is 220 yen.
Q: How many days can I rent?
A: Up to 3 days free per rental. You can rent as many times as you want!
Q: I want to rent two bottles, can I do that?
A: Yes, you can rent two devices at the same time. 18 years old or older, you have 3 days to return the device. After the 4th day, there is a regular fee of 110 yen per 24 hours for each device. The maximum monthly charge is ¥220. (The maximum monthly charge is 220 yen.) (The unlimited plan is 280 yen per month, so U22 is more affordable than that!
Q: I've missed the return deadline. Will I still be charged?
A: From the fourth day of rental, the regular fee (110 yen per 24 hours) will be charged. However, for the U22 plan, the maximum monthly charge is ¥220, so you will not be charged more than ¥220 per month. If you miss the return deadline again the following month, the fee will be counted from 110 yen for 24 hours again.
Q: My 23rd birthday is coming up, will I have to pay for it today?
A: From the first day of the month following your 23rd birthday, you will automatically be charged the regular rate (¥110 for 24 hours). (For example, if your birthday is on July 10, you will be charged the regular rate from August 1. You can change your plan (e.g. 280 yen/month unlimited plan) at any time from My Page.
Q: I am 21 years old and have been enrolled in the U22 plan for a year. What will happen?
A: On the first day of the following month, you will be automatically transferred to the regular rate. If you register your Epos card, you will be upgraded to a free period extension until the end of the month of your 23rd birthday (return period is 3 days). You can change your plan (e.g. 280 yen/month unlimited plan) at any time from My Page.

Q: At what point do I need to register for payment?
A：You need to register for payment when you register for a plan.
Q: What happens if I don't register for payment? What happens if I don't register?
A: If you do not register for payment at the time of rental, you will receive an error message and will not be able to rent.
Q: I have selected the U22 plan, but I want to switch to another plan.
A: If you have selected the U22 plan, you cannot switch to any other plan except the office plan. Even if you want to use the unlimited plan (280 yen/month), the U22 plan (maximum 220 yen/month) is more economical.
Q: The email verification does not work.
A: On the email resend screen, click "Click here if it doesn't work" to go to the code entry screen. (For those whose link does not work). The authentication email contains both the link and the code, so please try it if the link does not work.
Q: I started out using carrier payment, but I changed my payment registration to Epos card.
A: If you register your Epos card, you will be automatically upgraded to the free period extension until the end of the month of your 23rd birthday. However, please note that if you do not return the card within 3 days, you will be charged [110 yen for 24 hours] as usual! You can check your current plan from your usage details on My Page.
