Spartan Education and work style reform

今日は最近はやらないスパルタ教育というテーマです。
スパルタ教育、残業が仕組み上出来なった今、
気をつけなくちゃいけないと思っていることをシェアします。
Today's topic is "Spartan Education and work style reform".
Spartan Education and too much overtime are prohibited by the government but
I think we have to care about it.

僕より上の世代の方はこの環境で育ってきた人も多いでしょう。
一方で僕より若い世代のみなさんはおそらく馴染みがない言葉、実感がない言葉かもしれません。
スパルタ教育とは幼児期から始める兵士養成のための教育法です。
The senior generation may have been raised in such a strict circumstance.
However, the younger generation hardly hear about Spartan Education and have not experienced it.
Spartan Education is an education system which trains soldiers.

日本でも学校やスポーツクラブなどで取り入れられてきました。
私が所属していた野球チームでもスパルタ教育でした。
In Japan Spartan Education was introduced.
I belonged to a baseball club and I was trained by a strict coach.

例えば、午前中に水が飲めるのは一回だけ、
グラウンドでは常に全力で走る。
チームメイトの誰かがエラーしたり、監督を怒らせることをしたら罰ランがありました。

We could drink only a cup of water in the morning and we had to run at full power while we are at ground.
If my teammate made mistakes or made director got angry, we had to run as a penalty.
今こんなことをしたら、大きな問題になりますね。
If we coached children like this, we would be arrested.

スパルタ教育の弊害はモチベーションが低下したり、自律性が育たないということで、
教育方針が変わってきました。
Spartan education has harmful effect like decrease the motivation and prevent promoting autonomy.
That's why the education system has changed.

また2年前から働き方改革が始まりました。
In addition to that, work style reform was conducted two years ago.

制度的に教育機関でも職場でも厳しくなくなりました。
これは概ね良いことだと思いますが、僕は危機感を覚えています。

というのも、学校教育から社会に出ても、やらされることが少なくないので、
そこで求められる量や質は下がります。

Strict system was removed from educational institutions and the workplace.
I agree for the most part of that but I have a sense of crisis.
To be honest we are hardly forced to do that's why high quality products and a large number of tasks are not required.

一方で、業界のトップランナーたちが作っているもののレベルはどんどん上がり、
何かの業界で名をあげたければ、血の滲むような努力が必要なのです。

On the other hands, the products of top-player of the specific field improved so
you need to sweet blood to give your name on the field.
つまり「やる」「やらない」の格差が生まれてしまうことです。
このギャップは少し残酷に感じました。

It means that a big gap will be created.
I think this gap is a crucial reality.

一見、全員を守る仕組みのようで、格差を生んでしまっている側面もあります。
僕は日本人と海外の方を繋ぐために「めっちゃやる」ことを選んでいます笑
Removing strict rule seems to protect everyone in a law but it will create the gap.
