The latest Apple Watch called "Apple Watch Series 8" costs 54,800 Japanese yen. I repeat. 54,800 Japanese yen. Seriously?
I'm not going to list all the functions of an Apple Watch, but I want you to think if it is worth buying an Apple Watch. The main purpose of a watch is to check time. That's it.
And yet, an Apple Watch comes with a variety of functions. It can track health-related measurement such as blood pressure and heart rates. It also tracks your steps. It works and integrates with other Apple products as we can unlock other Apple products. We may install some apps like Apple Pay to make our payment procedure at a cashier faster. With Apple Watches, we do not even a wallet.
There are also a lot of videos encouraging us to buy it. Check this out.
And at the same time, there are lots of videos discouraging people to buy an Apple Watch. I bet that there are a good number of concerns about buying an Apple Watch. Check them out as well.
At this point, you should understand that people are split into two groups regarding this situation. The debate question goes as; is it worth buying an Apple Watch?

You are probably wondering, "an Apple Watch for who?"
When you think about your argument and stance, please think as; "Is it worth buying an Apple Watch for your generation?"
If you are a student, the target for the debate topic is students. If you are working adults, it would be working adults. If you are a retired person, please think if it is worth buying for retired people. My counter-argument would be based on your choice of target population. With this being said, please be specific about your target population. You may include social class, age, gender, kinds of jobs, and so on. It is up to you about how specific you make it. However, please assume that the income level would be average no matter how you assume your target population.
